Together we seek to honor the Lord’s gift of life at all stages, from the preborn to the vulnerable elderly.

Our Scriptural Mandate

  • Then God said,“Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”—Genesis 1:27
  • For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.—Psalm 139:13–14
  • Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say,“Behold, we did not know this,” does he who weighs the heart not perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it?—Proverbs 24:11–12

Human life is precious to the Lord. Every human being bears the spiritual image and likeness of the Creator of the universe. This distinction sets man above every creature. As Christians, we are called to defend the sanctity of human life.

Bethlehem for Life

Bethlehem for Life is the ongoing presence and prayer throughout the year of Bethlehem attendees in front of Whole Woman’s Health, the second largest abortion clinic in the state of Minnesota, located just four blocks from the doors of our Downtown Campus. Currently, one or more individuals from Bethlehem are out three days a week at the clinic (Tuesday, Friday or Saturday). New participants should contact Wayne King (612-716-1751) prior to going out to ensure they will have someone with whom to partner on date(s) chosen.

Peaceful Presence

Twice a year (usually in April and October), Bethlehem has a concentrated weeklong vigil of prayer and presence outside this clinic, known as the Peaceful Presence. Individuals in our church are encouraged to find two hours in their schedules to participate in this spiritual battle to end abortion in our neighborhood. All individuals—ranging from those who have significant experience outside an abortion clinic to those who have never participated before—are encouraged to be involved.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Caroling for Life

 Saturday, December 15, 7:45–10am
Downtown Campus Commons & Whole Woman’s Clinic (825 S 8th Street, Minneapolis)

All are invited to come and lift your voices in praise by singing Christmas carols outside our “local” abortion clinic on the morning of Saturday, December 15.  Meet in the Downtown Campus Commons for prayer at 7:45am (sharp) and then walk to the clinic together to start singing at 8am, joining others from around the metro. Dress for the weather! Sheet music with carol lyrics will be provided.

If you arrive after 8am, please join the group directly at the Whole Woman’s Clinic at 825 S 8th Street, Minneapolis, just a few blocks from the Downtown Campus. You can park at the church and walk to meet us at the clinic.

We know of two babies saved through caroling at abortion clinics at Twin Cities locations in 2017. Join us as we bring a life-saving voice to Whole Woman’s as well.

Christmas Trees for Life
