Matt came to faith in Christ at the age of twenty-one. He moved to New Orleans two years later to help plant NOLA Baptist Church, and he served in that church plant for about seven years until he and his wife, Talitha, moved to Minneapolis in 2019. Matt enrolled at Bethlehem College and Seminary in 2020 and graduated with a Bachelor of Theology in May 2022. Lord willing, he will complete a Masters in Exegesis and Theology in December 2024.  

The Moores became members of Bethlehem Baptist Church in February 2020. Matt began a ministry internship at the South Campus in August 2021, and continued in that role until God opened up an opportunity for him to serve downtown in January 2023. Matt and Talitha have one daughter, Elizabeth Kathryn, who was born on July 24, 2023.
