Ken came to faith in Jesus Christ while a student at University of West Georgia. As a result, Ken has a passionate desire to see college students come to Christ, grow in a God-centered worldview, and labor in the lives of others. After graduation, Ken took a staff position with Campus Outreach in South Georgia for four years. Ken then began Campus Outreach in Greenville, South Carolina, where the Curries lived for 10 years (1994–2003).
In August 2003, Ken came to Bethlehem to direct the college ministry at Bethlehem through Campus Outreach Minneapolis.
In July 2011, the congregation approved the elders recommendation that Ken Currie also become Lead Pastor for Outreach, and so had the additional responsibility to oversee, shape, protect, and trumpet Bethlehem’s church-wide vision for outreach.
In January 2013, the congregation approved the elders recommendation that Ken hand over his Campus Outreach Minneapolis responsibilities to another and take up the role of Pastor for Strategic Implementation. He added Campus Pastor to his responsibilities in October 2016.
In 2022 Ken stepped back into Campus Outreach and is currently our Ministerial Director for Campus Outreach.
Ken’s wife, Theresa, also came to Christ as a student at University of West Georgia and shares his commitment to raise up students who love Jesus and are burdened for the world around them. Ken & Theresa have five children: Hannah, Taylor, Kenzie, Emily, and Austin.
