The Miscarriage Memorial service is designed for families (and their surrounding friends & relatives) who have experienced a miscarriage.
Saturday evening before Mother’s Day, 6-7:30pm in room 212 “The Gallery”, Pastor Bud will meet with families that have had a miscarriage in order to strengthen hope in Christ in the context of significant pain: hope through tears. This evening will include time in the Word, meaningful conversation, song and prayer in which we will rehearse the gospel together in a context of love. Grieving couples are encouraged to invite friends, family and their small group. They are welcome as this is a shared sorrow and a shared hope.
All children are made by God in his image and the MMS both honors him and the brief life he granted these young children, as Jesus Christ held together their little beings (Col. 1:17) for as many days as God decreed for them (Ps. 139:16). So, by mercy and grace, we will grieve together but do so with hope in our hearts with our eyes on our living Savior Jesus Christ who conquered death and who is coming again. In this regard our shared sorrow will become shared anticipation, and by amazing grace will also become shared thanksgiving and hope through tears.
Contact Pastor Bud if pastoral care before Mother’s Day weekend would serve you, as he would be very glad to visit you and contact him if you would like to RSVP for the miscarriage service itself: [email protected]
