Adults 55+ are invited to Senior Sojourners to enjoy a meal and program. We hear from various speakers, global partners, and ministry leaders through this year.
January 27, 2020, marked the 75th anniversary of the liberation of German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz. In recognition of that anniversary, our February 20 guest speaker is Helen Siegel, B.A., M.S.Ed, a daughter of a Holocaust survivors. Helen has served as a classroom teacher and administrator for 27 years. Committed to Holocaust education, Helen has spoken to adults in a variety of settings about her parents’ experiences as German Jews from before Kristallnacht until their emigration to the U.S. after the war and her experiences as a child of Holocaust survivors. Her 95-year-old mother still lives in New York City and is part of a dwindling population of witnesses whose stories must be heard and shared.
Cost is $5/person.
