Mike grew up in Western New York (and remains an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan). Through the faithful witness of a church youth leader, Mike first trusted Christ at the age of 15. He met Leeanne while attending Cedarville University in Ohio. They married in 1988 and now have five adult children and a growing cache of grandchildren.

After working as a carpenter and cabinet maker for several years, Mike joined the staff at Lake Ann Camp in Michigan. In 2001, he and his family moved to St. Ignace, Michigan, where Mike served as pastor of Glen Memorial Baptist Church until 2019.

Mike & Leeanne moved to Minneapolis in 2019 in order for Mike to begin the MDiv program at Bethlehem College and Seminary. They became members at Bethlehem Baptist Church in October 2019, and have been leading a small group since January 2020.

Mike works for Biblearc, an online resource for equipping Christians with tools for fruitful Bible study. He enjoys woodworking with hand tools, reading, and teaching.
