The Downtown Campus Deacon Ministry exists to assist members and friends of Bethlehem whose circumstances demand more assistance than their existing conditions and community can provide. In these scenarios, Deacons will strive to work alongside existing support structures in order to facilitate cooperative care.
If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please fill out the survey below and allow us to consider how our Deacon Ministry may be able to help.
Bethlehem’s Constitution states: “The Deacons shall advise and be ready to assist the Elders in any service that shall support and promote the ministry of the Word, [the] ministries of the Church, and the care for the members of the congregation.”
Under the direction of Perry Ryan, this team actively reaches out to widows, single moms, and others in need of practical help with handyman projects, outdoor maintenance, or auto care.
For those in need in our city, Jeff Noyed leads Jericho Road Ministries to meet basic needs like hunger and lodging while dealing with underlying issues to bring lasting restoration. See additional Mercy Ministry Resources.
