Bethlehem’s Constitution states: “The Deacons shall advise and be ready to assist the Elders in any service that shall support and promote the ministry of the Word, [the] ministries of the Church, and the care for the members of the congregation.”
Led by Lacey Johnson, Kylie Mathews, and Renee Warriner, this team organizes and provides meals for Bethlehem members who are experiencing particular hardships, or even exorbitant joy, through significant life events (birth of a child, death of a loved one, illness, crisis, etc.).
Under the direction of Bob Sarna and Perry Ryan, this team actively reaches out to widows, single moms, and others in need of practical help with handyman projects, outdoor maintenance, or auto care.
Nathan Warriner coordinates this team to offer hospitality for brief periods to visiting Global Partners, prospective students of Bethlehem College & Seminary, or Bethlehem members experiencing crisis.
For those in need in our city, Jeff Noyed leads Jericho Road Ministries to meet basic needs like hunger and lodging while dealing with underlying issues to bring lasting restoration. See additional Mercy Ministry Resources.
