Deacon Candidate Keith Anderson

1. Share your testimony. How did God draw you to faith in Christ? 
   I was blessed to have been born into a household with parents who loved the Lord and modeled the Christian walk. I count my acceptance of Jesus as Savior at about the age of 7 or 8. In 10th grade, I turned my life over to him as my Lord. So which is my “conversion date”? You pick. But another “Aha!” moment came in my 30s when, after sitting under John Piper’s preaching, I fully came to realize God’s beauty, sovereignty, power, and awesomeness! I thank God for drawing me to himself at each of those points, fully acknowledging it was all God’s doing that brought me to himself.

2. Why do you want to be a Deacon?
   I feel the “work” of deacons is simply what is expected of all believers within the capabilities God has provided. If a title makes me more useful, then I’m happy to take it on. I want to be “deacon to all” as God provides strength. And I know the joy flows both directions!

3. Are you currently serving Bethlehem Baptist in a ministry area?
   I currently have the privilege of being the Coordinator for Senior Adults for Bethlehem.
