Jeff came to faith in 1979 while watching a Billy Graham Crusade on television. The Lord led him to attend Northwestern College in Roseville, where he received an Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies and formed Christ-centered, life-transforming relationships with faculty and students. He began attending Bethlehem in 1985. On two separate occasions, he temporarily left Bethlehem to support her new church plants (Celebration Community Church and Jubilee Community Church). He has served Bethlehem as a small group leader, Helping Hand Committee member, and greeter on Sunday mornings.
