Women in Missions: Emily P. and Amy Moline

Maddie Osgood

Coordinator for Design & Communication Production

In his October 28/29 sermon, Pastor Jason Meyer gave both senders and goers in the congregation a fresh call to partner faithfully as fellow workers in the truth. We must go for the sake of the Name and stay for the sake of the Name. We will pray and encourage one another toward this end at Women in Missions on November 13, 10am–Noon. Come hear testimonies from women on the field and pray with other women for the spread of the gospel among all the nations. This month we will hear from Emily P. and Amy Moline.

After working in Africa and with Africans for nearly a decade, Emily P. recently transitioned to the role of Executive Director of Gospel Joy International. GJI works through the local church in Kenya and South Africa to write and record audio Bible studies for African women so that they can know and understand God in a deeper way. Emily will share how the Lord has constantly guided and encouraged her in this major transition.

Amy Moline has served in Cameroon with her husband, Tim, for seven years. She particularly enjoys teaching inductive Bible studies and mentoring pastors’ wives from the Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary. As a mentor, she has found jealousy and competitiveness to hinder women from having deep relationships with one another as well as with their Lord and Savior. She prays and encourages her mentees to remember their new birth in Christ. Jesus paid for their sinful responses on the cross, so they have freedom in him as they repent and pray to bear the fruit of the Spirit in their lives. The Lord is refining Amy as he uses her in these roles. He keeps her reliant on his grace during seasons of loneliness, insecurity, and anxiety, and deepens her relationship with him.

We hope you’ll come and enjoy hearing from these two global partners on November 13. Bring a friend! A light lunch will be served at Noon if you’re able to stay after the meeting.
