Children & Youth Adults

 

Connection will be held at the North Campus on Wednesdays, September 14, 2022–May 3, 2023.

A special night of worship and prayer will take the place of classes on September 7, January 4 & May 10.

A special Global Focus Kickoff event will be held on October 19, 2022.

Due to breaks for the holidays, Connection will not be held November 23, December 21 & 28, or April 5.

Connection Dinner
Served 4:45–6pm, Room D505 (Gym)
RSVP by Noon on Mondays with the receptionist at 612-455-0800 or sign up at the meal for the following week. Specify your last name and number of meals for adults and children. Cost is $5/adult, $3/child (ages 12 and under), or $20/family.

Connection Worship
6:15–6:45pm, Sanctuary
Join us for worship in song and prayer. These services include testimonies, baptisms, and updates from global partners and short-term teams. 

Night of Worship and Prayer
September 7, 6:30-8pm
All ages will gather for a special worship and prayer event instead of age-specific classes to kick off the school year. No dinner will be served for this event. 

January 4, 6:30–8pm
All ages will gather for a special worship and prayer event instead of age-specific classes to kick off the New Year. Dinner will be available in the gym prior to the event.

May 10, 6:30-8pm
All ages will gather for a special worship and prayer event to close out the school year. Dinner will be available in the gym prior to the event.

Children & YOUTH

Youth Choir Rehearsals
 Various times, various rooms
Children’s choirs typically sing 6-7 times a year in weekend worship services and special events. During weekly rehearsals, children learn principles of biblical worship and the rudiments of music and singing. If your child is interested in singing in a choir, please come to a rehearsal. New members are welcome throughout the year. Introduce yourself to the choir director, who will help your child get started. Children's choir rehearsals will begin September 21.

Family Registration & Check-In
(Nursery–High School)

Parents, please register your child(ren) for Wednesday activities and classes, Nursery–Grade 12. When you arrive, please come to a Check-In Kiosk to print a name tag for each student.

After worship, students in Grade 3 and younger meet leaders in the Commons. Please pick up your child after class.

Preschool–Grade 5 Classes
6:50–8pm, various rooms
Teachers, small group leaders, and team leaders lead the children in a lesson time, encouraging them in the knowledge of Christ and the Word. Children enjoy lessons, activities and small group times. Leaders guide children in activities to encourage them to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and God’s word. Contact: Diane Soderholm

Men’s Bible Study
6:50–8pm, Room A202
This Fall, come join the Men’s Bible Study as we dig into Proverbs to seek the Lord’s wisdom and connect it with our daily lives. We will reference Ray Ortlund’s Proverbs: Wisdom That Works as our guide, but owning a copy is not necessary, as we will distribute printed material for reference in advance of each meeting (a discounted book can be purchased in the church bookstore, if desired). The format is casual, beginning with fellowship and worship, followed by small group discussion of the text and study questions at tables. Contact Alec Steward, Michael Southern, Zach Osborne

Women’s Bible Study: Who is the King of Glory?

This women’s group will meet to discuss the current Women’s Bible Study, Who is the King of Glory?, which will trace Messianic prophecy from Genesis through the Gospels, preparing our hearts for Advent. See additional study time/day options and register here.

Women’s Bible Study in Mandarin

This women’s study examines God’s word in Mandarin Chinese. This Fall’s study is titled, Who is the King of Glory?, and will trace Messianic prophecy from Genesis through the Gospels, preparing our hearts for Advent. Register here

All-Nations ESL

This English conversation class is designed for internationals seeking to improve their English conversation skills and build friendships with Americans. Participants in this class will have the opportunity to discuss a variety of topics in a relaxed setting and also learn about their language partner’s biblical worldview. Contact: Chrissy Kline 

Adult Worship Choir Rehearsals
7–8pm, D502 
The mission of this choir is to tell of God’s faithfulness through a broad range of musical styles. In addition to assisting the congregation in corporate worship, the choir also sings in special events at the North Campus. This choir is open to all adults (Grade 10 and older); no audition required. Rehearsals begin September 21. Contact: Brian Hanson

Orchestra Rehearsals
7-8pm, Monthly, Sanctuary
The North Orchestra plays on Sunday mornings about once a month. Rehearsals take place the Wednesday night before the orchestra is scheduled to play. For more information, contact Grace Ohlendorf.
