Brief Testimony of Conversion and Present Relationship With the Lord
I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home with many loving, godly role models. My dad was a pastor, and much of our life revolved around church and our church family. I loved church, I loved Jesus, and I loved to serve. I asked Jesus to forgive my sins and be the Lord of my life at a Backyard Bible Club that our family hosted when I was 5 years old. I memorized John 14:6 that week, and I knew in my heart that I wanted to live for God. Later, when I attended Bethel University, the Lord used that time to deepen my faith, challenge me to trust in him in unfamiliar surroundings, and to seek out what he had for my future. My spiritual growth has remained steady and consistent over the years. I can look back on many milestones where the Lord used circumstances to challenge and increase my faith. I am typically working through a Bible study on my own, which I try to spend time on daily. I have a desire to continue to grow in my prayer life—I often feel distracted, and I want to focus more on this at this time in my life.
The Lord continues to work daily in my heart to root out pride and impatience. God is so gracious to us, and I desire to reflect more of his grace and mercy to others as I minister.
Bethlehem Ministry Experience
Expression of Desire to Fill the Office of Deacon
I enjoy organizing things and serving others. I believe I can, with God’s help, fulfill the responsibilities of this job in a way that would bless Bethlehem. I love to mobilize people to serve and have a desire to help put into place some systems that would help us more effectively support and care for the body.
