Men's Discipleship North

Our Mission

Men’s Discipleship exists to “equip and train men to love God, sharpen one another, lead their families, and serve their communities” in support of our shared mission “to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ”.

Men's Discipleship Activities

Men's Wednesday Bible Study

6:50–8pm, Room A202
This Fall, come join the Men’s Bible Study as we dig into Proverbs to seek the Lord’s wisdom and connect it with our daily lives. We will reference Ray Ortlund’s Proverbs: Wisdom That Works as our guide, but owning a copy is not necessary, as we will distribute printed material for reference in advance of each meeting (a discounted book can be purchased in the church bookstore, if desired). The format is casual, beginning with fellowship and worship, followed by small group discussion of the text and study questions at tables. Contact Alec Steward, Michael Southern, Zach Osborne

Lay-Organized Affinity Fellowships (LOAFs)

Various Days & Times
One of the goals of our Men’s Discipleship ministry is men sharpening one another. And for that, men need opportunities to connect and interact together. The vision for LOAFs is to encourage and facilitate creation of activities that men enjoy for the purpose of connecting, encouraging, and edifying. These will include outdoor activities (summer is a great time for these), sports activities, skills workshops, and even service opportunities.

Want to create a new LOAF event? Here's how ...

  1. Catch the vision for LOAF. You have an idea you think ...
    • Ties into the goals of Men's Discipleship
    • Helps connect, encourage, educate, and edify one another
    • You're willing and able to host.
  2. Complete LOAF Application Process.
    • Fill out the LOAF Application form to submit your idea.
    • The Men's Discipleship team will review it and connect with you. Should be about a week.
  3. Spread the word!
    • Once your LOAF is approved and scheduled, help spread the word for interested North Men to attend.
    • Don't be afraid to ask for help with promotion.

Friday Morning Men's Bible Study

Fridays, 6:45–8am, Room A204
Men, join us any Friday morning for fellowship and our study on the Book of Isaiah. Of all the Old Testament Prophetic books, Isaiah (sometimes called the Messianic Prophet) is the most quoted in the New Testament.

Join us in-person or online and to God's glory and for His purpose we will all learn, grow, serve and evermore profoundly treasure Christ together.

For more information or to sign up to meet via Zoom, contact John Neibergall at 651-308-9052.

Intentional Discipleship

We aim to create a culture that encourages men's discipleship through tailored, intentional mentoring in contexts where men share their hearts and the opportunity for peer-to-peer accountability exists. This discipleship is a relationship where the men intentionally meet on a defined cadence to have specific discussions aimed toward maturity in personal, spiritual growth. You can get involved by letting us know that you would like to be discipled or if you would like to apply to be a mentor
