Parenting by Way of Challenge: Child Proof

Mar 24, 2019 • 11:00am - 12:20pm

Location: Downtown Campus, 314

Contact: Bud Burk, 612-338-7653 x486

Sunday March 24, 11:00am-12:20pm

This parent gathering draws from Julie Lowe’s parenting book Child Proof, helping parents take on the challenge by grace to lead according to the needs of their family by faith and freedom not by formula.

In 2018, Julie Lowe provided parents a powerful and useful parenting tool, alongside Paul Tripp’s Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles, that is truly a gift to parents. These two books walk hand in hand while pointing us to three overarching truths:
  1. There is hope for parents because of the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  2. Parents are being parented by our Father in heaven as they parent their children.
  3. Every family is distinct and parents are called to lead by faith and freedom without feeling the burden of fitting in to a parenting formula.
Join us for a devotional style conversation including prayer and song that is meant to bring hope to parents through Julie Lowe's book, in their good work at home with young souls.

Additionally, a portion of our time will be devoted to reviewing some of Caroline Jones' key points that she gave during her presentation in November 2018: "Parenting Children with Loud Emotions."
